ALVARO CARES

This Chilean Marine, Scout Sniper and Marines Commandos with more than 20 years of service, was born in Los Angeles, Bío-Bío Region, Chile, and lived all his childhood and teenage in Quilaco, attached to outdoor activities surrounded by forests, mountains and rivers.

In 1998 he joined the Chilean Marine Corps and later became a Special Forces Specialist. During his career he has attended a series of courses, such as Exploration, Cartography and Survival.

Other courses and competencies are: Hand-to-Hand Combat Instructor, Pedagogical Training, First Aid and Rescue. At the same time, he trained as a Mountain Guide at the Chilean Mountain and Climbing School. He is a Survival Instructor for Special Forces and Navy Pilots students.
